Product Manager – Item Level Security – Hard Goods
The Associate Product Manager will work to meet the ILS-Hard Goods goal of being the leading physical security device provider to the industry. This person will actively be involved in shaping and driving new product development initiatives while also working with sales management to accelerate global sales growth. This person will also be directly involved in the core management of the existing ILS-Hard Goods product category.
Below is a list of specific duties:
- Responsible for business management of the Keepers, Wraps and S3 Key product lines (e.g. SKU rationalization, price positioning and profit analysis, SKU system maintenance, and inventory turn metrics).
- Participates in the weekly development team meeting. Must have the ability to develop strong team relationships with the respective team members in both the Charlotte and Canton office. (e.g., sourcing, production scheduling, engineering, and QA/QC).
- Assists with the NPD product road planning process (e.g., market evaluation, product road map, and retail value equations).
- Manages key communication and customer elements of the base business (e.g. literature development, defining key messaging, website updates, beta test installations, prototype development, and installation instructions).
- Manages the (MCR/ECR) customization process.
- Assists with developing solid relationship with large retail partners through our US and Global Sales Groups.
- Identifies and attends major trade shows that are strategic to this business.
- Performs regular global market audits that ensure Alpha is meeting industry needs for the assigned product lines.
Requirements:
- Track record of identifying and launching successful new product lines
- 3-5 yrs experience in a product management, marketing, design engineering or industrial design role
- 4 yr degree (BA or BS) in marketing, engineering or industrial design
- Driven individual that is goal oriented
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong computer skills (Power Point, Excel, Word)
